Classic is timeless.

As the world revolves, everything evolves.

Speaking of classic, orchestra is known for that. Wikipedia said that, “An orchestra  is a large instrumental ensemble, often used in classical music, that contains sections of string (violin, viola, cello and double bass), brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.”

Philippines has many orchestra group and one of them is ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra. It is a  Philippine broadcast orchestra operated by ABS-CBN Corporation, founded last 2012 and under the supervision of Maestro Gerard Salonga (their conductor and musical director).

Yes, an orchestra is known for playing classical music. However, ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra proved how flexible they are by crossing the boundaries, playing hits of this generation and giving it a twist– a taste of classical. Last December, the orchestra had an event called “THE MAGIC OF JOHN WILLIAMS” wherein they played famous movie sound track composed by John Williams. Those includes Harry Potter and Jurassic Park.

ABS-CBN Phiharmonic Orchestra introduced their genre in an interesting way. They are willing to adjust for the people/listeners. As people’s taste of music evolves, the orchestra is more than willing to adopt with these changes. That way, classical music will never be forgotten. Teens will enjoy it also  for sure.

ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra simply proved that “classic never gets out of style”.

This April they will be having Chamber of Music at ABS-CBN Chapel and on the 26th of April, they will be joining Andrea Bocelli on his concert.
