Basic on Tony!
Tony Arcenal is a 43 year old multitasking journalist. He writes and photographs for three national newspapers— Filipino Mirror, Pinoy Parazzi and Police Files Tonight and two semi-broadsheets— Luzon Morning Sun and The Voice of Pampangga. He is also a stringer at DZME 1530 and TV5.
He is originally came from Mahayhay, Laguna but migrated in Malolos after getting married to Maria Crosini Robles. He is a father of three, Maria Angelica (21), first born; Aileen (20), second; and a grade 7 youngest, John Carlo.
Unlike other fellow successful journalist, Arcenal wasn’t able to finish schooling and as he said, that what makes him unique. After finishing his Secondary level in Quezon Province, he was not able to continue his study because at that time, his father was sick so he decided to explore things like using manual cameras. Marine Engineering was his dream before but photography awakens his blood and flesh! He self-studied stuffs about photography and bought books related to it, trying to prove that he can do something big despite of being out of school. He studied manual photography at Manila under Media Eye Inc. He started as a photographer and as time passed by, he decided to send his photos in different newspapers and again, studied how to write and broadcast by himself where opportunity opened a door for him when he was hired by DZME1530 as a stringer and this is when he started to explore media industry as he covers 2010 National Election.
How successful he is?
Aside from being a broadcaster, photojournalist and writer of several publication, Arcenal served as the President of the Central Luzon Media Association on year 2011-2012. Also, he is a member of Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, National Press Club and Bulacan Press Club.

Most unforgettable experience!
Working in this industry for so long, Tony have so many unforgettable experiences and one of those is when he was about to play for a basketball championship when he saw people sent by someone who he thinks will kill him that moment. He had to exit on the game escorted by the police so he can be safe. Tony received many death threats because of his profession.

* He was once accused for libel.
*He loves joining Photography Contests and he is currently a participant for 1st Larawang Bulakenyo Competition.
*He is currently taking up Master’s Degree in Communication at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila.
