Despite of the decision of Multimedia Division that they won’t be requiring all students to watch the 6th SiBul Film Festival except for fourth year broadcasting major students, still the ‘Pili’kula screening succeed and lot of students go and watch it.

Thea Panganiban, member of the said organization said that they chooses not to make it compulsory and just sell tickets for PHP 50 for those who are interested.

‘Pili’kula screened four short films such as: Paa Mo’y, George, Borantia and Iskets. They even include a bonus, the Mater, silent film directed by Animikami Pablo who is also a product of Bulacan State University College of Arts and Letters (BULSU CAL) and also starring Ronabelle Carillo, Tourism student of BulSU . Mater is a cinemalaya film finalist.

Joshua Roque of BAMP 2A said.

Just like any other CAL student, Joshua was also amazed and shocked to know that MATER’s director is also a BulSUan.

“Ay! Award yon! Kasi imagine produkto ng isang State University. At least ngayon lalo ko napatunayan na may ibubuga tayo. We deserve a slot in film industry.”

He also added that the four SiBul entries were great and worth to watch. “Magaganda naman. Kanya kanyang genre tsaka may pagkakakilanlan ‘yong bawat film. Hindi cliché. Unique siya kumbaga.”
Meanwhile, Jean Pagtalunan is now the new executive producer of Multimedia position and the organization starts to recruit for aspiring members.
