Bulacan Press Commemorates Maguindanao Massacre

City of Malolos, Bulacan– Bulacan media men commemorates 6th year anniversary of Maguindanao Massacre by lighting candles in front of Marcelo del Pilar Shrine in Malolos, Bulacan.

The said event was led by Bulacan Press Club particularly Carmela Estrophe which is also a Journalism professor in Bulacan State University.

Begin with a prayer offered to 58 victims of the man made tragedy, they wish to end the impunity and for faster action and justice.

They decided to do it in front of del Pilar’s shrine since the hero is considered as the father of the Philippine Journalism.

“Nakakainis isipin na for six years ang ilap pa rin ng hustisya para sa mga mamamahayag na ito. Ano na ang nagyari? Hindi ko ramdam ‘yong aksyon ng gobyerno.” (It’s disgusting to think that after six years, justice hasn’t been served. What happened? I can’t feel the government action.) Jeramaica Cabral, Journalism student said.


After that, they marched to Bulacan Regional Trial Court to also offer a prayer for Judge Wilfredo Nieves who has just been killed.
